Report: Columbus area lags in charitable giving

The city is among more than 60 of the 100 largest metropolitan areas in the country that could give more compared with the national average, according to a report released Tuesday by The Chronicle of Philanthropy. The study examined how much people who itemize their tax deductions give to charity, broken down by income bracket.
