Removing Gorge Dam deemed possible — for $70M

CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio — Officials confirm that it’s possible to remove the 57-foot-tall Gorge Dam along the Cuyahoga River, and they say the preferred demolition plan would cost roughly $70 million to execute. Demolition would probably cost about $12.5 million plus an additional $57.5 million for sediment removal, the officials said.
