Redflex trial in Chicago adds local bribery details
A key player in the $2 million red-light-camera bribery scandal in Chicago testified during a federal trial this week that the company operated in similar fashion in Columbus. Another employee, the red-light-camera company’s former top salesman, whom Columbus Mayor Andrew J. Ginther said he asked for a campaign contribution, also testified that he secretly recorded his conversations with officials in Chicago, according to a source in the courtroom.
