Author Kwame Alexander never intended to write about the Bell family - the subject of his 2015 Newbery Medal-winning sports novel "The Crossover" - again. However, when middle-schoolers "demanded" to read more of his fast-paced poetry that told the story of African-American tween twins Josh and Jordan, their parents and their passion for basketball, he knew he had to listen.
