Python named after Jack Hanna dies at Columbus Zoo

COLUMBUS Ohio – A reticulated python died at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium died on Friday.The zoo said Hanna died at the age of 20, which is nine more years than the life expectancy of reticulated pythons.Staff said she was recently treated for gastritis, but her condition did not improve, so the decision was made to humanely euthanize her.Hanna had been at the zoo since 2010 and was named after director emeritus Jack Hanna.The name "Hanna" was entered into a naming contest by a zoo guest
