Protester removed from Downtown intersection

A protester who handcuffed himself to the bottom of a white minivan in the intersection of Broad and 3rd streets Downtown has been removed after tying up traffic. A group called Appalachia Resist sent a news release that said the act was part of nationwide protest of the construction of the Dakota Access pipeline, which is to carry crude oil from North Dakota to terminals in Illinois.
