Prosecutors ask judge to name guardian for hoarder
In a first-of-its-kind case, Columbus prosecutors are asking an environmental judge to appoint a guardian in a hoarding situation that has dragged on for a decade. Court officials met on Tuesday with David E. Hunter, 78, to discuss his future after prosecutors filed a foreclosure action against his property as well as a motion to appoint a guardian because prosecutors say Hunter has failed to take care of himself and his property.
