Proposed Ohio bill would target drivers who fail to stop for school buses

Ohio State Representative Niraj Antani (R-Miamisburg) is proposing legislation that would enhance the penalties for drivers who fail to stop for school buses loading and unloading children.House Bill 786 would, in part, enhance the maximum fine for failing to yield to a school bus from $500 to $1,000.The proposed legislation would also appropriate $1 million in grant money to equip more Ohio school buses with surveillance cameras to capture dangerous drivers in the act of violating the law.Colum
