Prison guard placed in diversion program after guilty plea

A guard at the Ohio Reformatory for Women has been sentenced to a prison-diversion program after she pleaded guilty to racketeering last week. Athens County Common Pleas Judge Patrick Lang sentenced Brittany M. Eckert, 26, on Thursday after she pleaded guilty to the first-degree felony of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity. She was arrested on Wednesday when she reported for work.
