Preserving history a calling for retiring Columbus official

In the 15 years he's been Columbus' historic-preservation officer, Randy Black said the city has become better at acknowledging and preserving its historic buildings. "It's improved, but it's not second nature," said Black, 65, of the changing culture surrounding preservation.
