Police: Suspicious man asked Newark elementary students to get into his van

Newark police are asking for information about a suspicious person who was asking elementary school children to get into his van.Police were called to Ben Franklin Elementary School on Monday around 2:20 p.m.Officers met with the principal who said several students reported seeing a man driving a white Chrysler Town & Country minivan.Students told police the vehicle drove up to them while they were playing in the playground area.
