Police: Reported attempted child abduction in Newark did not occur

NEWARK - After several days of investigating Newark Police say they have determined a reported attempted child abduction on Tuesday evening never happened.On Friday night, police said they reviewed camera footage and detectives talked to the alleged victim again and came to the conclusion the crime did not occur.Initially, police said 10-year-old was approached by a man who attempted to get the child in his vehicle on Tuesday.Police said the case is closed.
