Police release traffic plan for Columbus IKEA opening
IKEA is set to open it's doors on June 7. Columbus Police and surrounding jurisdictions have put together a plan to combat expected traffic congestion."There's going to be a lot more traffic in the area. The word of the day is going to be patience," said Lt. Paul Weiner, traffic operations lieutenant.Traffic officials expect 51,000 cars to drive the area of IKEA Way and Lyra Drive once the store opens with 10,000 to 15,000 of those cars being customers in route to the Swedish furniture store.Lt.
