Police: Newark 8th grader arrested after making threats to shoot students

NEWARK, Ohio – The Newark Division of Police say a middle school student was arrested Tuesday after making threats.Staff at Liberty Middle School told police an 8th grader made several comments, to multiple classmates, about shooting other students at the school.Staff members say they interviewed students who confirmed that the 8th grader made detailed comments about shooting people at the school.
