Police kill driver who hit 1 officer

SYLVANIA, Ohio — Authorities say an Ohio man who hit an officer with a car was shot by police and died from a single shot to the chest. Police in suburban Toledo say the Sylvania Township officer struck early Thursday is expected to be OK. A second officer was evaluated at a hospital but wasn’t hurt.
