Police: K-9 dead after attacking handler during training exercise

COLUMBUS - Columbus Police told 10TV an officer shot and killed a K-9 after being attacked Saturday morning.The dog, Benzi, was a 3-and-a-half-year old Belgian Malinois who was in service for two years with the Columbus Division of Police.According to a press release, Benzi and his partner, officer Brian Carter, were training on McKinley Avenue.
