Police investigating South Side homicide

Columbus police are investigating a homicide on the city's South Side. Sgt. David Sicilian said a man in his 60s who lived alone in a trailer was found dead today in the 1200 block of Fairwood Avenue. Police were dispatched after 10 a.m. after they were contacted by authorities in Hillsboro, Ohio, where a man who was detained there for shoplifting gave them information about a body in Columbus. Two Columbus detectives on the way to talk to the man now. No weapon has been recovered, police said.
