Police: Handgun found in Hilltonia Middle School student's locker

An 11-year-old student at Hilltonia Middle School has been charged after police found a gun at the school Thursday.Staff at the school told Columbus police they had received information from a student concerning a gun inside the building.An unloaded handgun was found in a student’s locker. The student was taken into custody.Delinquent charges were forwarded to the Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office against the student.The firearm was not reported as stolen at the time of recovery.
