Police clear bomb threat scene in downtown Columbus

COLUMBUS -- Columbus police and fire were on the scene of a bomb threat in downtown Columbus.The call for the threat came in at 4:18 p.m., according to police. The scene was cleared about an hour later. The incident occurred in the 500 block of East Broad Street.According to Battalion Chief Steve Martin with the Columbus Division of Fire, workers at the business were clearing out a closet and found a strange object.Police and fire have contained the scene and are leaving the area.
