Police chief set to retire in Upper Arlington

Brian Quinn’s phone wouldn’t stop ringing on Tuesday. Friends, acquaintances, media — they all wanted to know more about his big announcement. So here it is: After 27 years with the Upper Arlington Police Department, 10 of them as chief, Quinn is retiring. At least in name. He’s headed to Ohio Homeland Security, where he will be chief of operations for the Strategic Analysis and Information Center, a spokesman there said.
