Police arrest man after deadly spike in heroin overdoses

Columbus police arrested a man on Monday after a disturbing spike in opiate overdoses in and around Columbus this weekend. Rayshon Alexander, 36, of Clubhouse Drive on the Northeast Side,was arrested in connection to a batch of heroin believed to have caused 11 overdoses, including two deaths, on Sunday at eight locations mostly on the East Side. He has been charged so far with one felony count of corrupting another with drugs.
