Pole fire blamed for large power outage in northeast Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Approximately 4,300 customers were without power in northeast Columbus Monday night.AEP Ohio said the power was knocked out because of a pole fire near Karl Road around 7:45 p.m.About 1,000 customers were still without power around 11 p.m.Power is estimated to be back on for everyone around 1 a.m.People can check the AEP outage map for the latest information.
