Plenty of bills await Ohio lawmakers when they return from summer break

Legislators left plenty of bills behind when they skipped town for the summer last week, but one lawmaker started a procedural move to force a fall vote on a proposal related to pastors performing gay weddings. On the last official day of session before a break likely to last past the November election, Rep. Paul Zeltwanger, R-Mason, pulled a discharge petition that is used to force a bill out of committee and onto a chamber floor. It needs the signature of 50 House members.
