Plans for ‘recovery high school’ take root in central Ohio

An Ohio State University recovery advocate and others want to fill a gap in central Ohio by forming a high school that would be open only to adolescents who are working to overcome drug and alcohol addictions. Such “recovery high schools” provide young people with a space that sets them up to succeed both academically and in their pursuit of a clean lifestyle, said Sarah Nerad, who is among those spearheading the effort.
