Planned rehab center’s director arrested on fraud charges
The director of a controversial residential center for recovering alcoholics and drug addicts is in jail on felony charges that he used personal information from future residents to buy fitness equipment and other goods and pay bills. Johnny R. Marcum, 45, of Geers Avenue in the Driving Park neighborhood, is charged with two counts each of forgery, identity fraud and passing bad checks, said Michelle Perry, a Columbus police detective with the fraud and forgery unit.
