Plain City clock tower to be removed for repairs

For the second time in its 100-year history, the clock tower in Plain City will be removed Saturday for repairs. At 8 a.m., a crane will remove the Seth Thomas clock from its base at 101 S. Chillicothe St. and place it onto a flatbed truck, which will take it to a temporary location where it can be fixed. The repairs are estimated to cost about $45,000 and are expected to be completed by mid-September.
