Pizzuti Short North project would raze Tucker dealership
The sign on the one-story building on High Street that the Pizzuti Cos. plans to raze and replace may read “Grandview Mercantile,” but once upon a time, the site was Columbus’ sole dealership of the famous Tucker automobile. The glazed brick building at 873 N. High St. was built as an automobile showroom by the late N.C. Farber. In late 1947, a sign went up in the window indicating that it was “The New Home of the Tucker ‘48.”
