Pike County Sheriff's deputies use gas to end standoff

The Pike County Sheriff's Office, in collaboration with several other departments, were forced to use gas to get a man out of a room after he swung a knife at deputies hours earlier which resulted in a standoff.According to a press release, deputies were trying to serve a felony warrant on a man at his residence on Alma Omega Road.The man was hiding in an upstairs bedroom, and when approached by deputies, swung a knife at them, the release stated.The deputies backed out of the bedroom and attemp
