Person walking on Downtown Columbus railway bridge struck by train

COLUMBUS, Ohio – A dive team with Columbus Fire has suspended their search of the Scioto River for a person who was struck by a train Wednesday morning.According to Battalion Chief Steve Martin, a train conductor told authorities the train struck a person walking on a bridge near Long Street and Neil Avenue.Divers were immediately requested to the scene and searched the water for approximately 1 hour before ending their rescue efforts.
