Person shot at I-71 rest stop in Delaware County; suspect dead

A shooting Sunday morning at a rest stop on Interstate 71 in Delaware County led to a law-enforcement chase of the suspect, who later died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, an Ohio State Highway Patrol spokesman said. The victim was shot multiple times in the abdomen and was taken to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center in Columbus. He underwent surgery and was listed in critical condition, patrol spokesman Lt. Robert Sellers said Sunday evening.
