Pedestrian struck by car in September dies

A 19-year-old pedestrian who was struck by a car last month has died, according to Columbus police. Elizabeth Blankenship was in the eastbound lane of Winchester Pike near Noe Bixby Road on Sept. 26 when she was struck by a 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe driven by 29-year-old Demico Golden. Blankenship was transported to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center with multiple serious injuries. She was later transferred to Riverside Methodist Hospital where she died Thursday night from her injuries.
