Pedestrian struck and killed along West Broad Street

Both directions of West Broad St were closed Thursday morning as deputies from the Franklin County Sheriff's Office investigated a fatal traffic crash. Deputies responded to West Broad near Wilson Rd in western Franklin County shortly before 7 am after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle. Emergency crews pronounced the pedestrian dead on the scene.
