Passenger dies after SUV crashes on North Side

The 20-year-old man, whom Columbus police had not identified early Sunday, was a passenger in a Ford Expedition that veered off eastbound Tupsfield Road east of Maple Canyon Avenue just before midnight and hit a tree, police said. The man, who police said was riding in the back seat of the SUV, was transported to OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital, where he later died.
