Parks district seeks replacement levy

The New Albany-Plain Local Joint Parks District is asking residents for a levy next month because it doesn't have money in its budget for $226,500 in repairs needed across 200 acres of parkland, according to New Albany Parks and Recreation Director Dave Wharton. The 0.75-mill permanent replacement levy on the Nov. 8 general-election ballot would help cover those costs, he said.
