OVI checkpoint scheduled for Saturday night in Madison County

WEST JEFFERSON -- The Ohio State Highway Patrol will be holding an OVI checkpoint Saturday night in Madison County.The checkpoint will be held from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on US Route 40 near State Route 142.The OVI checkpoint is done to deter motorists from driving under the influence of alcohol, according to a release.OSHP is reminding drivers if you plan to consume alcohol, designate a driver or make other travel arrangements.
