Oversight system for severely mentally ill coming to Franklin County

Franklin County could soon have a new system of court oversight and intensive case management to help people with severe mental illness adhere to their outpatient treatment plans. Families and advocates say the joint effort by the county Probate Court and the Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Board is a welcome step toward embracing a hard-fought, 2-year-old law that clarifies the authority of Ohio judges to order outpatient treatment.
