Outdoors notebook | Ohio’s wild turkey numbers no record, but on par with 2015

Serious wild-turkey hunters typically are all-business, and business isn’t as good as it once was. A lot of that, however, probably rests with the cyclical inclinations of nature. Not that Ohio’s current spring turkey season looks anything like a bust. Last year’s total of 17,652 bearded birds checked during the four-week hunt appears to be in reach.
