OPERS retirees face big changes

Tens of thousands of public retirees are more actively overseeing their medical coverage on the eve of major changes meant to preserve the health-care fund at Ohio’s largest public pension system. The 230,000 retirees, spouses and dependents who have coverage through the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System all will see some changes in 2016.
