Online charter school students learning less than traditional students, study shows

Students enrolled in online charter schools in Ohio and elsewhere learn a lot less than their peers in traditional public schools, a new study has found. On average, online charter-school students received the equivalent of 180 fewer days of learning in math and 72 fewer days in reading. “Attending an online charter school leads to lessened academic growth for the average student,” the report concluded.
