One person in custody after barricade situation in Newark

NEWARK, Ohio – Newark police and the Licking County Sheriff’s Office were on the scene of a man barricaded in a house on Jones Avenue.Law enforcement was called to the scene Tuesday evening.Newark Police Chief Barry Connell tells 10TV the man inside was alone.Connell said a special operations team and crisis negotiation team responded and the man was then taken into custody.No injuries have been reported.
