One dead after a Near East Side crash

A person has died after a single-vehicle crash into a utility pole Monday afternoon at a major Near East Side intersection. Columbus police and fire responded at 3:41 p.m. to the three-way intersection of Leonard, Fifth and Woodland avenues.
