Ohio’s Rust Belt is ready for Trump
WARREN — Drive down West Market Street in this northeastern Ohio city of 40,768 and the main category of business seems to be “closed.” Shops are vacant. Houses are boarded up. Though there are certainly more affluent areas around here, this stretch is by far no picture of economic opportunity. A drive down this street makes it easy to imagine voters wanting something different. And that might be why Republican Donald Trump is doing so well here.
