Ohio’s minimum wage to increase in 2019
The hourly minimum wage for Ohio is slated to increase by 25 cents for 2019 from $8.30 to $8.55 for non-tipped employees.For employees receiving tips, the minimum wage will rise from $4.15 to $4.30 an hour.According to the report from the Department of Commerce, employees are required to be paid one and a half times their hourly rate for time worked more than 40 hours a week unless the employer grosses less the $150,000 per year.The current federal minimum wage is $7.25 per hour
