Ohio University’s take on rape-reporting law harms victims, center says

In August of 2013, the Survivor Advocacy Outreach Program began operating out of Ohio University, counseling sexual-assault and domestic-violence victims and providing medical and legal help. As at the state’s 29 other rape-crisis centers, if a victim didn’t want the incident reported to law enforcement, program staffers wouldn’t report it. Late last year, that changed.
