Ohio trooper passes away after complications with childbirth

ASHTABULA, Ohio – A trooper with the Ashtabula Patrol Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol has passed away following complications with childbirth, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Retirees’ Association website.The website said 38-year-old Alison Holmgren, an active trooper with the post, passed after the birth of her second child on Feb. 15.Her daughter was born healthy and has no issues, according to the website.Funeral arrangements are pending
