Ohio Supreme Court won't set execution date for Mexican national

The Ohio Supreme Court, by a 4-3 vote, declined to set an execution date today for Jose Trinidad Loza, a Mexican national convicted for killing four people in Middletown in 1991. Voting to delay the execution were Justices Paul Pfeifer, Judith Ann Lanzinger, Judith L. French and Justices William M. O’Neill, while Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor, and Justices Terrence O’Donnell and Sharon L. Kennedy dissented.
