Ohio State forward selected by Connecticut in WNBA Draft
With the first pick of the second round of the WNBA Draft on Thursday, the Connecticut Sun selected Ohio State forward Shayla Cooper.Cooper played 90 games as a Buckeye while becoming the 33rd Ohio State player to score at least 1,000 career points.Cooper also had 26 double-doubles in her career.The two-time second team All-Big Ten player is set to graduate in May with a degree in communications.
