Ohio State Fair features man riding chicken, other characters

Sheriff Fowler couldn’t walk his beat through the maze of carnival rides and food trucks Wednesday at the Ohio State Fair without getting teased. The sheriff's real name is Doug Skove. Though he’s not a law-enforcement agent, he is helping the fair “enforce the good times” as he walks the fairgrounds as a 7-foot-tall, chicken-riding cowboy, a trick accomplished with a feathered cage around his torso, a pair of dangling fake legs and stilts.
