Ohio Senate passes 17-day stop-gap state budget
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Senators passed a late-night temporary budget Saturday that will fund Ohio until July 17.This comes less than a day before the deadline at 9 p.m. Sunday to pass the full budget. The Ohio House is expected to meet before then to come up with their own short-term plan.Lawmakers could not come to an agreement on the state's massive $69 billion budget plan, which originally garnered bipartisan support.July 1 begins the new fiscal year.
