Ohio school superintendent search committee causes stir

While it’s the Ohio Board of Education’s job to hire a state schools superintendent, a search committee will be dominated by Republican Gov. John Kasich. The eight-member committee named today by school board President Tom Gunlock includes four board members, including himself, appointed by Kasich and a representative from the governor’s office.
